Security Technology Alliance welcomes Emulex

WELLINGTON, NZ and ARLINGTON, VA, 22 January 2014 – Endace division of Emulex to deliver network security expertise to STA's innovative U.S security proposition.

The Security Technology Alliance (STA) announces it has extended its membership to established high-tech company Endace, a division of Emulex. The STA, a group of innovative, high-growth technology companies from New Zealand, combined forces in 2013 to establish the Alliance and deliver industry-leading security technology to US government, contractors, and commercial markets.

The STA’s three founding members – established technology leaders Gallagher, Tait Communications and Wynyard Group – together hold more than USD $350M in global revenues, employ more than 2,000 people worldwide and deliver advanced solutions for managing criminal intelligence, cyber security, mission critical communications and physical security.

The STA recently opened an office in Arlington, VA and has appointed former Department of Homeland Security Assistant Secretary for The Office for State and Local Law Enforcement, Mr Louis F. Quijas to the position of Senior Vice President Strategic Ventures.

With research and development headquartered in Auckland and Hamilton, New Zealand, Endace provides solutions enabling unrivaled end-to-end application visibility, optimization and acceleration for global networks that support enterprise, cloud, government and telecommunications. Endace network visibility products provide complete network performance management at speeds up to 100Gb Ethernet. Endace expertise adds value to the STA’s compelling security proposition of specialist solutions to solve critical security challenges for Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP), law enforcement and intelligence, and emergency response and recovery.

STA spokesperson Louis F. Quijas says the knowledge brought to the Alliance by Endace complements the STA’s global capability, and fits the STA goal of bringing together successful high-growth New Zealand companies to deliver a force multiplying security technology capability to US government and contractors.

“Endace is a fabulous company offering first class technology that enables customers in the public and private sector to mitigate the ever-growing problem of data breaches. The STA is proud to have them on board.”

The STA is sponsoring and attending the National Sheriffs Association Winter Conference in Washington, DC, and is hosting a reception at the conference.
